Website transparency checks

LawIndex runs bounded automated checks against public firm websites and keeps those observations separate from official SRA records.

Current monitoring coverage

Coverage grows as the bounded scanner works through current firms with an SRA-supplied website. These are service-level aggregates and do not identify or rank individual firms.

What the checks mean

A passed check means the bounded scan detected the specified signal. A potential issue means the signal was not detected and may need human review. Requires review is used where applicability or completeness cannot safely be decided by automation. Not applicable is reserved for a reviewed rule that does not apply.

These results are monitoring and review signals. They are not legal advice, an SRA decision or a compliance verdict about a firm.

Safety and coverage limits

The crawler stays on the firm website origin, respects applicable robots exclusions, limits redirects, pages, response size and request time, and blocks private or reserved network addresses. It does not sign in, submit forms, execute browser scripts or follow off-site links.

A bounded scan may miss content that is rendered only by scripts, stored in documents, expressed unexpectedly or outside the pages visited. That is why absence is never presented as a legal conclusion.

Data separation

Official firm information comes from the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Website observations have their own scan time and provenance. Raw page text, page URLs, content hashes and structured evidence are private and are not published in the directory.
